an order of magnitude larger than the Starlink V3 satellite<\/li>\n<li><strong>hardware<\/strong>\uff1aRack type <strong>NVIDIA GPU<\/strong> The cluster will be switched to dedicated radiation-hardened chips produced by Terafab in the future.<\/li>\n<li><strong>energy<\/strong>: Giant solar panel + liquid radiator - taking advantage of the infinite solar energy and vacuum cooling advantages of space<\/li>\n<li><strong>manufacture<\/strong>: in Bastrop, Texas <strong>Gigasat factory<\/strong>(over 11 million square feet) of production, expected to begin production by the end of 2027<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Musk emphasized: \"There is no new magic that needs to be invented here - most of the technology has been verified on Starlink V3.\" But the problem is: Starlink is a communication satellite, and AI1 needs to run a GPU cluster in orbit, and the engineering challenges of the two are obviously not of the same order of magnitude.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Million-satellite constellation: fantasy or real plan?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">SpaceX said in its IPO prospectus that it planned to deploy <strong>Up to 1 million AI data center satellites<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Ground data center bottleneck<\/strong>: The demand for AI computing power has surged, but the ground power grid has been overwhelmed (Seattle has just issued a one-year ban on new data centers)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Natural advantages of space<\/strong>: Unlimited solar energy, useless disputes, high vacuum heat dissipation efficiency<\/li>\n<li><strong>Starlink\u2019s precedent<\/strong>: SpaceX has proven it can build and deploy satellites at scale (Starlink already has 9 million users)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">SpaceX CFO Bret Johnson confirmed in a separate interview that the AI \u200b\u200bsatellite will use <strong>NVIDIA GPU<\/strong>, and gradually turned to the construction of cooperation with Tesla and Intel in the later stage. <strong>Terafab Super Fab<\/strong>(approximately 10 million square feet, 10 times the size of Tesla\u2019s Austin factory) to produce specialized chips.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What supports the 1.75 trillion valuation?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">SpaceX gives total addressable market (TAM) as high as <strong>$28.5 trillion<\/strong>, of which AI accounts for <strong>26.5 trillion<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But the reality is: the first-generation AI1 satellite has not yet been launched, the Gigasat factory is still under construction, and the Terafab chip is far away.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What does it mean for the AI \u200b\u200bindustry?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If SpaceX's orbital data center plan succeeds, it will completely change the supply pattern of AI computing power -
